For more than 10 years, Kirk has worked in structural engineering and architectural firms all specializing in upscale custom homes around the Central Coast and Northern California.

This passion started at just five years-old, when Kirk would make mini homes out of sticks and dirt in the side yard near his home in Hsinchu, Taiwan. After immigrating to the United States at age seven, he began to build more elaborate mini model homes out of cardboard and Legos. Thus began a lifelong pursuit to design homes for people.

Kirk has worked on over 100 homes built in San Jose, Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, San Mateo, Saratoga, Los Gatos, Los Altos, Los Altos Hills, Palo Alto, Menlo Park and Atherton. While he is in close in proximately to the South Bay, Kirk has also worked on projects in the East Bay including Fremont and Hayward, and in the Peninsula. After starting his career as a Drafting Specialist, Kirk has embarked on a unique role as a Project Manager and General Contractor in the last four years. Throughout all of his projects, large or small, Kirk has experienced tremendous growth and success, taking on projects from master bedroom additions to multimillion-dollar residential projects.

In 2014, Kirk started his own firm, Lexicon Developments, with the desire to design and build dream homes. Since the start of Lexicon Developments, he has grown in understanding common construction methods by working closely with all specialty contractors, from concrete and framing, to trim finish and tile installation. With the combination of design ideology from Cal Poly and Architects, understanding of construction methods from sub-contractors, and the openness and acumen to truly understand each clients’ needs, Kirk is well suited for your custom home project.

Something unique to Kirk’s expertise is his experience as a principal designer coupled with his recent experience as a Project Manager and General Contractor. This has allowed him to have a deeper perspective into which ideas and designs are actually feasible in building and cost. Kirk also has great integrity when it comes to his passion of designing homes. He would consider it a privilege to be invited into your place of dwelling and help you transform it into the home you’ve always dreamed of.

Outside of work, Kirk is married to his wife Elena, and is a father to their one year-old son Luke, whom he is already building Lego houses with. They also have two Boston Terriers, Nala and Penny, and they all enjoy taking walks around the community together. In addition to architecture, Kirk’s other passion is cooking and he loves hosting meals for friends and family.
